In this post we will see how to deploy SCCM 2012 lab setup. Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 (SCCM 2012) is a Windows product that enables administrators to manage the deployment and security of devices and applications across an enterprise. SCCM is part of the Microsoft System Center 2012 systems management suite. System Center 2012 Configuration Manager provides more effective IT services by enabling secure and scalable software deployment, compliance settings management, and comprehensive asset management of servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

How to deploy SCCM 2012 Lab setup
The Domain name for this lab is PRAJWAL.LOCAL. If you are setting up a lab, choose your own domain name. The DNS server is installed on the same machine where Active Directory is running. The SQL server and WSUS will be installed on SCCM machine. You can choose to install SQL server and WSUS on different machine, however to keep it simple I will be installing SQL and WSUS both on the same machine. We are going to create a standalone Primary site in this lab.
During the deployment of SCCM 2012 we require few softwares which must be downloaded. Here’s the list:
User Accounts – I have created a user account named “sccmadmin” and the user account is the member of domain admin. This account will be used to install and configure SCCM 2012 throughout the lab. A domain user named “test” is created and this user account will be used to login to the client machine.
